Job Summary

The Operations Manager serves both as the leadership for the location and as a customer facing employee charged with selling products, taking orders, resolving customer issues and professionally representing Stephenson’s at all times. Reporting to a Branch Manager, this role provides coaching, training and development to the on-site staff while developing plans and strategies to grow the business. A majority of the time is spent providing exceptional sales and service to all existing and prospective customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of rental or related experience gained either in construction, home improvement or retail.
  • Minimum 2 years of Supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Health and Safety training is an asset.
  • Must have a G Class Driver’s Licence with a clean abstract.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to develop annual plans and strategies to grow the business.
  • Assists the Branch Manager with coordinating daily activities of Full-Time and Part Time Sales Associates.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for thoroughly and meticulously cleaning the assigned customer(s) home according to the agreed upon specifications. Although each client’s home is different and has varied requirements, the attached document outlines a general cleaning requirement for each home.

In addition to the cleaning responsibility, the Team Leader will:
  • Train, supervise and monitor the quality of work of team members
  • Drive reporting team members between clients homes
  • Be responsible for team’s cleaning supply inventory as well as the general maintenance of the equipment and supplies (ie. emptying vacuum cleaner daily and rinsing/washing cleaning cloths daily)
  • Delegate work flow and instruct team members
  • Be responsible for client’s keys; keeping them safe and discrete when not in use and ensuring the appropriate client’s keys are brought to each home
  • Respond to client's inquiries and specific cleaning requests regarding jobs as needed, and communicates same to team members
  • Perform quality control check walk-through before leaving every client's home and redirects cleaning as needed
  • Collect payment from client (if applicable)
  • Inform business owner on the status of supplies so they may replenish supplies as required

· Post secondary education required
· Knowledge in the tooling or cutting tool/metal working industry would be an asset
· Average computer skills, knowledge of BV will be an asset,

· Ability to work in a team environment
· Strong time management and organizational skills in order to work in a fast paced setting
· Results oriented
· Comfortable dealing with the public (suppliers, customers, etc.)
· Strong interpersonal skills with business diplomacy and professionalism
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
