Rootree is a leading sustainable packaging company dedicated to providing innovative, eco-friendly solutions. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate/Material Handler to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and safely handling materials within our warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products according to established procedures.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
• Assist in conducting regular inspections of warehouse equipment and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and workflow.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and fulfilling orders.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with inventory management software.
• Prior experience in the packaging industry.
• Additional certifications or training related to warehouse operations.

• Secondary School (preferred)

• Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

• English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence (preferred)

Shift:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:30am - 5:00 pm
