We are seeking a Warehouse Associate/Material Handler to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and safely handling materials within our warehouse facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products according to established procedures.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
- Assist in conducting regular inspections of warehouse equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and workflow.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and fulfilling orders.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory management software.
- Prior experience in the packaging industry.
- Additional certifications or training related to warehouse operations.
